Ifeoma signing books on a recent USA visit…

Ifeoma will be creating a workshop experience around story telling and children’s games from Nigeria at the Sankofa Cafe, in Washington DC, at 3.00 pm on Sunday 2nd. November 2014.

Sankofa Cafe is a great bookshop and cafe at 2714 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington, DC, 2001. Ifeoma is appearing at 3.00 p m. Ifeoma will have books for sale and will be signing copies for cafe visitors.

Sankofa is a great cultural venue and see its mission to be like its symbol…

“the Sankofa Bird, looks backward with the egg of the future in her beak, constantly checking as she moves into the future. Sankofa Video, Books & Cafe hopes to be a place where thoughtful consideration of the past and future can take place via books and videos and programming that encourage reflection, particularly generated by works by and about people of African Descent”.

You can find the Sankofa venue on the web here.

The Sankofa Cafe offers visitors a range of videos, books and great refreshment specials. You can, if like Ifeoma you are a regular visitor to Washington DC, visit the Sankofa newsletter and event calendar page. They offer a wonderful range of book events, music, readings and cultural features for all. See more here.

If you are in Washington DC, why not share the ‘Sankofa Experience’ with her today?
